Making Your First Visit?

EBC is nestled just inside the enterance to the Elkmont Rural Village several miles north of Athens on Highway 127. The building is at the corner of Bob Jones Parkway (village entrance road) and Sulphur Creek Drive (the first road on your left after you enter the village). Our address is 18890 Sulphur Creek Drive, Elkmont, AL 35620. Our phone number is (256) 732-4926. Our e-mail address is elkmontbc@ardmore.net.

What to Expect

What are the people like?

We are born-again Christians who love the Lord and strive to serve Him. Our backgrounds may differ (professional to non, education of our children, places we’re from, culture, etc.), but we desire to become of one accord by aligning ourselves under the commands and direction of the Holy Spirit.

What about the service?

We are conservative and traditional regarding our music worship and serious about our study in God’s Word. Most of us dress in traditional church attire, but all we ask is for modest apparel.

What entrance should I use?

Use the side entrance located under the carport. The doors to the sanctuary flank the entrance foyer (in the hallway).

Who is the pastor?

EBC believes in elders, and our head Pastor/Elder is Bro. Joseph Kress, who is recently retired from “mending tents and nets” in the secular world to earn a living. Our other Elders are Jake Berlin, Sammy Schimansky, and Tim Montgomery.

What are the child care arrangements?

We have a nursery that overlooks the sanctuary. However, we encourage those who so desire to keep your children with you in the services as we are family-worship oriented, and want you to feel comfortable with or without your children with you throughout your stay.
