“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

Welcome to our archive of messages, studies, encouragements, and answers to questions that we hope will bless you as you continue on your spiritual journey with our Lord Jesus Christ. We call this section of our website Called to Light for as believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to no longer walk in darkness, but in the blessed light of our Savior.

At the moment, we have two major “libraries” of articles: the studies that are designed around a Bible book, or specific questions that have been asked by our church members over the years, or Christian topics is referred to as Treasures New and Old. Unfolding Prophecy Truth strives to impart what God says about Himself by comparing current events to His unerring Word. We trust you will be blessed as you peruse our library. All works are copyrighted by the authors and Elkmont Baptist Church and may be freely used but must remain intact and retain authorship.

Unfortunately, we all seem to accumulate enemies and adversaries in life. Fallen man in a state of sin just can’t seem to help himself find ways to hate, dislike, attack and otherwise become an adversary to those that don’t agree with us or who may be different, etc.

The significant event in this chapter seems to me to be when Lot separates from Abram’s clan and moves off to the plains of Sodom. Not that Lot is looking to enter into sin (he may not have known at this time how bad things were in Sodom), but he is allured there by what appears to be rich grazing land for his animals.

“What Is the Sign of Thy Coming?”

The Disciples’ Big Question (and frankly, ours as well): Matthew 24:3: “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be?”

A while back we published an articles entitiled “Signs of the End Times” where we explored the disciples’ questions and Jesus’ answer regarding His Second Coming (Matthew 24:1-8). In this article, we will explore a few more signs of His coming (return) from other Scriptures besides Matthew.
