Unfolding Prophecy Truth

Called to Light

The Spirit of Prophecy

The Scriptures teach the “testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy” (Revelation 19:10). The Greek word for testimony is marturia which means to give evidence, report, and witness (Strong’s G3141). The Greek word for spirit is pneuma which means breath or breeze (Strong’s G4151). By implication – the rational soul. So, if we may infer, it is the rational evidence drawn from God’s Word and applied to our lives and used as a measuring standard with which to compare unfolding current events. The job of a prophet was to inform the people what God has said (not just about future foretelling!), while the job of the priest was to go before God on behalf of the people. In this section of our website, we endeavor to share what God has said as rational evidence of His absolute sovereignty by holding up current events against the perfect standard of His Word. Excuse us as we do “see through a glass darkly” (1 Corinthians 13:12), and, therefore, only “know in part” – but we do strive to be true to His Word in all that we post on this site. We hope that it will provide answers to your questions and provide guidance, encouragement, and hope. We trust you will blessed as you peruse our library. “What Is the Sign of Thy Coming?”

The Disciples’ Big Question (and frankly, ours as well): Matthew 24:3: “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be?”

A while back we published an articles entitiled “Signs of the End Times” where we explored the disciples’ questions and Jesus’ answer regarding His Second Coming (Matthew 24:1-8). In this article, we will explore a few more signs of His coming (return) from other Scriptures besides Matthew.
